Why Become a PermaRoof Registered Installer (PRI)?
The PermaRoof Registered Installer (PRI) scheme has been launched to support the roofing industry skills gap and offers a clear way to track the level of training an installer has undertaken. This is particularly relevant in commercial roofing, where contractors are required to provide proof of training during the specification and installation process.
With a wider range of boundaries and design concepts made possible with a growing number of innovative roofing and construction products, it is even more important that specifications are right the first time, every time. This is why we, in conjunction with our leading suppliers, offer our PRIs the design, technical and specification support you need.
Three Accreditation Levels
PIR cards are issued in three levels – Bronze, Silver and Gold, depending on previous PRI experience and training undertaken. Specific criteria govern a contractor’s operating level, and this is monitored and assessed before progression to the next level. Criteria include but are not limited to – minimum number of projects completed, minimum square meterage and number of training courses undertaken.
Bronze Status
New to PermaRoof – full training course on a roofing system
Accredited for 12 months from date of training
4 x projects in year one to a minimum of 500m2 or
1 x project in excess of 500m2
Silver Status
12 months completion with Bronze criteria met
Move to Silver status
Minimum three projects per year
Full specification and technical support
Add details to national network of PermaRoof Registered Installers list
Back fed any projects within the area that come up to a maximum of 500m2
Gold Status
As above after 12 months on Silver status
Back fed projects of all sizes – Preference
Two years of continuous interaction
