The brief: Following the discovery of a failed roof, our team was brought on board by G J Smith Roofing to support the rectification project. The owner of a large, detached residential property in South Beaconsfield contacted G J Smith Roofing after the discovery of a leak from their roof. On inspection, we found that this was due to condensation and rot, which had built up as an appropriate AVCL membrane hadn’t been included in the initial installation. This layer prevents warm water migrating to colder outer surfaces where it condenses into water droplets, causing water ingress issues.
