As 2022 draws to a close, we reflect on what an incredible year it has been for PermaRoof UK Commercial and the wider PermaGroup. We rose to the widespread industry challenges – shortages, delays impacting sales targets, shorter deadlines and increasing regulations – and are proud that the team’s dedication and foresight means we’re still forging ahead.

Exciting innovations, new launches, major contract wins and promising opportunities have peppered 2022 across the board at PermaGroup. Starting the year with an influx of new recruits, we began making new partnerships straightaway and went from strength to strength in a wider range of roofing and construction projects.

Some of the highlights of 2022

PermaRoof UK Commercial has been working alongside a growing number of PermaRoof Registered Installers. The PRI scheme was launched earlier this year to support the industry-wide shortage of skilled workers and to streamline complex compliance requirements for contractors at the specification stages.

The group’s largest supplier, Firestone Building Products, moved into a new chapter of its iconic 40-year history. Acquired by leading European construction innovator, Holcim, FSBP will now evolve into Elevate following a rebrand launch in the summer.

As the Elevate prime UK distributor, PermaGroup, fully supports and applauds the incredible move. We look forward to the opportunities for the wider building envelope opening further doors for us, our network and our customers.

PermaGroup managing director, Adrian Buttress said, “It was great to be at the launch party for Elevate. Having had the structure explained to us on how it will grow, I am really excited for the future. Great to see some of our co-distributors from all across Europe too.”

“Together we have become a very powerful team. Now we know we are going for the full building envelope, I am now working on our updated growth strategy to encompass all of this. The potential for growth was already huge. Now this has happened, things just got so much bigger.”

New products have already begun to appear in the PermaGroup range. Adrian Buttress said: “When we bring new products to the market, we always place our customers at the centre of that decision.”

Earlier this year, we debuted our latest P500 commercial liquid roofing solution in a complex, 250m2 roofing project in Leeds, Resista insulation and other exclusive PRI products. We launched RubberGutter SA, the latest in domestic gutter refurbishment products in our online store and we’re not stopping there.

With plans for further innovative systems on the horizon, we’re looking ahead to another good year as we hit the ground running in 2023 for our clients.
